Bull terrier is a dog breed which originated in England in approximately 1830. It resulted from interbreeding between the old-English white terrier and the bulldog and it was originally created for dog fighting. After the banning of these cruel fightings, the bull terrier becomes a dog for keeping company and entertainment. Today, the bull terrier is a dog used for various purposes: for the needs of the army and the police, as a hunting dog, a dog for entertainment etc. However, in most cases, it is a house dog, a member of the family and a great lover of children.
